Bert's Pet Center has been family owned and operated since 1958. Jim Wente has owned the Ashland, KY location since 1970. Bert's Pet Center located in New Boston, OH is managed by Jim's sister, Julie Alexander and his uncle Ted Wente. Bert's Pet Center is a full line pet store carrying a wide variety of high quality pet foods for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small pets such as hamsters, and guinea pigs. There are currently 6 employees at the Ashland, KY location and 3 at the New Boston, OH location.
When asked what Jim likes best about Coastal, he mentioned "The quality of the products and the fact that Coastal always stands behind their product". Jim also mentioned that he likes how easy it is to place an order with Coastal. He said that the ease of placing an order is important to him. When asked what Coastal product does best in Bert's Pet Center, Jim replied, "The comfort wrap harnesses are our best selling Coastal item".
